Minervois Wine Tour

The Minervois gives you a remembrance of Tuscany with its lush vegetation and gentle rolling hills.

It is a special environment that is reflected in the wine of this region, which is soft, fruity, and giving.

You will experience firsthand the history of wine seeing a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Canal du Midi, that has carried the Minervois wine to Bordeaux to be exported all over the world since 1776.

Before the new world was making wine, France was providing most of it with much of it coming from the Languedoc.

A truly magnificent experience, come see and taste the beauty behind the wine that the world has been drinking for hundreds of years.

10:00 — You will be picked up and taken to Clos des Roques where you will taste wines amongst the vines. The tasting also includes exploring their caveau or cellar to learn about the vinification process.

12:00 — Lunch brings another wonderful wine experience at La Bastide de Fauzan, a fantastic culinary delight with views to die for.

13:30 — The afternoon will be taken up in the area surrounding the beautiful villages of La Livinière and Félines, home to some of the Minervois’ finest wines. At Château Faîteau and Borie de Maurel you will discover the amazing wines that have achieved “cru” status for this region, which is a rating that designates an area with exceptional quality within it's region.

17:00 — You will be returned to your accommodations at the end of your wine tour experience.

    Beautiful day in Languedoc

Had a absolutely wonderful day wine tasting with Matt in the Languedoc. My husband, our two year old and I all loaded up into Matt's van where he began explaining the history of wine in the region. He is very knowledgable and answered all our questions! We went to three wineries-all very different. From large production wineries, to a tiny one in a rural mountain town, all were fabulous and gave us an excellent introduction to wine tasting in the region. For lunch he stopped along a river where he set up a fabulous lunch for the 3 of us. His wife even packed crayons be paper for our daughter to play with, so thoughtful! All in all it was a wonderful day that we would not have experienced without Matt's help. Thank you!
